BABY CRAWLING: SKILLED COORDINATION

This slow motion video of a baby crawling, from drumsofdoooooom’s channel on youtube.com, shows the optimal coordination of the motor milestone crawling.  Watch the right hand move forward, followed by the left knee, followed by the left hand, and then the right knee.  The is the alternating, or contralateral, pattern of baby crawling.  This enables baby to crawl more quickly across the floor.  In the development of a baby, optimal coordination is our goal!
